We hope that we can help you with the problems you have during your time in England.

John Moley is our welfare officer. He is available Monday to Friday for appointments. John can help you with all the issues listed below. You can contact John by email - john@a2z-english.com
Please read our student handbook, which will answer many of the most common questions we are asked.
Some of the things you might find difficult, and which we will try to help you with, are;
-
Finding a house or somewhere to stay, and paying the taxes and bills associated with this
-
Buying food and clothes
-
Opening a bank account
-
Finding a doctor or dentist
-
Understanding the transport system in Manchester and the UK
-
Understanding the difference between England, Britain and the UK and Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
-
Understanding English culture, both traditional and modern
-
Finding a place to worship according to your religion
-
Applying to a UK or Irish university to study something after you have mastered the English language
-
Exploring Manchester, Dublin or London and going to fun events with other students and teachers
There are some things we cannot do. These include;
-
We can't promise you a job. No one can promise to find you a job. Often students have to try very hard to find a part time job, especially if you don't speak English well. It is difficult but possible!
-
We can't usually help you with stressful situations with people you live with in your house. We can listen to you and sympathise, but we can't usually solve personal relationships or involve ourselves with financial issues.
-
We can't solve problems with romantic relationships.
-
We can't help you if you break the law and get in trouble with the police or UK border agency or Irish Immigration authorities.
-
We can't lend you money!
