Host a Student

Staying with a local family is one of the most important parts of an English language student's time abroad.

Since a student will spend more time in their adopted home than in the school, and since this forms such an important part of their learning experience, we take finding and choosing families to work with extremely seriously.

Many students form lasting and significant relationships with their hosts, and they remain friends for life. You will always have somewhere to stay when you travel abroad!

What's in it for you?

Apart from being an amazingly rewarding and culturally enriching experience, you will also be able to make some extra money.

You will need at least one guest room in your house and need to speak English as the language of the home (so that the student can practice their English). You also need to have a nice friendly home! Some students like to have a meal with the family every evening, others prefer to cook their own, we get all sorts of different people!

What kind of students do you get?

A typical student might be 25 years old, a graduate in engineering, from Turkey/Colombia/Korea and will come to learn English for 6 - 9 months. You can watch some videos of students here, and read more about them here.
