Social Programme

Every week we organise social activities for students.

These are a very important part of learning English; you will practice what you have learnt in class in the real world. You can also make friends with teachers and other students.

How much?

About half of our A2Z organised events are free, but you will probably have to pay for any transport or food and drinks. The other half of our events have a charge (For example, a theatre trip or a visit to the zoo), but we will always try to tell you in advance if there is any cost involved and what it is.

Manchester

However, don't forget that our school is in a massive city! Manchester is full of fun things to do, there is something happening nearly every day, especially music and sport. You can see a great calendar of things on the "Pride of Manchester" site. Many famous musicians and groups visit Manchester, and some of the best new Music comes from our city too. Recent bands include the Ting Tings and Elbow. Of course there is lots of football, and Manchester is also a great place for Comedy; some of the best comedians in the UK come from Manchester, including Peter Kay and Jason Manford.
